Lanserhof Tegernsee Yoga Retreat

  • Lanserhof Tegernsee Gut Steinberg 1-4 83666 Marienstein/Waakirchen Germany (map)

This yoga retreat takes you to the most modern centre for integral health in Europe - the luxurious and newly opened Lanserhof Tegernsee. More than just a place to kick back and relax, this unique health resort embodies an architectural vision for life. Light is omnipresent - it radiates through the impressive window facade and fills the high-grade naturally furnished interior with warmth.

Blending 5 hours daily yoga & meditation practice, delicious healthy Energy Cuisine and three complimentary massage treatments, this escape will awaken dormant energies, balance the mind, touch the heart and help you connect to the beauty of life.

Whether you are a complete novice or more seasoned yoga practitioner, this yoga retreat is a great opportunity to learn and experience what traditional Hatha- and Kundalini-Yoga is all about. This variety of Yoga differs from many of the dynamic, aerobic-like modern forms of "Yoga" in that it works on the circulation of energy in the body, the awareness of energies and the chakras, and thus the ability to feel, move and control energy within oneself is being trained. It is based on the ancient shastras (scriptures) and stresses the importance of proper mental focus during the yoga practice. This multidimensional approach to the yoga practice generates a harmonious development in the practitioner, from physical and energy development to emotional, mental, and last but not least spiritual development. The emphasis is on the practice, but explanations & theory will be given to assure a correct understanding of the underlying mechanics at work.

Group size is limited to 16 people only. By keeping this retreat small and personal we ensure that each participant gets sufficient individual attention both on and off the yoga mat. Day of arrival is Sunday 9 July 2017, the group yoga practice begins the following morning and ends at sunset on Saturday 15 July. Participants will be departing on Sunday 16 July after breakfast.
